Ramara is a Brazilian-American multimedia artist and designer with a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design in NYC. She has worked for brands such as Blue Man Group, Carol’s Daughter, Trivedi Wellness and The Organization for Whole Brain Learning as an in-house and freelance graphic designer.

Her focus over the last 10+ years has moved away from corporate design towards personal interests dealing with the physical and emotional aspects of healing, psycho-spiritual studies and evolutionary creative expression. This has lead her to study plant medicine, medicinal food applications, dance, metalsmithing, jewelry design, painting and printmaking.

She has also studied with spiritual teachers such as Thomas Hubl, Sat Shree and Jeannie Zandi, and is currently focusing on learning modalities dealing with interpersonal communication, emotional trauma and psycho-spiritual healing systems such as NVC (Non-Violent Communication), IFS (Internal Family Systems) and Somatic Experiencing.

Ramara’s intent is to create art focused on the multidimensionality of reality and human consciousness. Collected impressions from her studies influence the creation of dynamic vision-scapes that use elements of repetition, rhythm, symmetry and layering. The elements enhance visual depth and complexity, hopefully allowing for moments of silent ''Being '' and contemplation for the viewer.Ramara’s creative work has been a soul searching heartfelt expression of her own experiences and pursuit in understanding life, as well as the collective history, trauma and stress that we all knowingly and unknowingly experience. Personal expressions have poured out and translated into painstakingly long multi-layered watercolor paintings, her primary form of making art.

She currently lives in South Florida and works out of her small art studio near the ocean.

The artist’s mission is to make the soul perceptible. Our scientific, materialist culture trains us to develop the eyes of outer perception. Visionary art encourages the development of our inner sight. To find the visionary realm, we use the intuitive inner eye: the eye of contemplation, the eye of the soul. All the inspiring ideas we have as artists originate here.
